What does it mean to be a person of faith? What does faith mean to others?

Approaching inter-faith or inter-religious relations, it is easy to make assumptions about terms based on our own background and experience. As part of UK Inter Faith Week, DivSoc Chair Lucy Lipfriend (an undergraduate student in the Faculty of Divinity) chairs discussion, inviting panellists to reflect on whether they identify as people of faith, and what the ingredients of such identity might be—cultural and/or religious. All are welcome.

Confirmed panelists:

  • Dr Anastasia Badder, Research Associate in the Faculty of Divinity
  • Hina Khalid, PhD candidate in the Faculty of Divinity
  • Dr Julia Snyder, Lecturer in New Testament at Westcott House, Cambridge, and an affiliated lecturer in the Faculty of Divinity
  • Lucy Lipfriend (Chair), President of DivSoc

A joint event from DivSoc and the Cambridge Interfaith Programme.

This event will be held in Lecture Theatre 3, on the lower ground floor. It will be followed by refreshments in the Selwyn Room, adjacent to the main entrance.

Date:
