A crisis in Cambridge—group of young adults deliberating

What if Cambridge were to run out of drinking water in just one month? How would we cope? What could we do to mitigate such a crisis?

In partnership with The Faith & Belief Forum and in the run-up to the annual Interfaith Youth Summit cohosted with the LSE Faith Centre, young adults in the Cambridge area are invited to an interactive event envisaging climate futures.

Unique and thought-provoking, hear experts from diverse fields—Engineering, Economics, Conservation, and more—present the facts and insights on how such a crisis could unfold. From ecological and social impacts to political and economic challenges, they’ll explore the potential consequences from every angle.

Then, put your knowledge to the test in a team-based brainstorming session. You’ll work together to design innovative solutions, considering not just science and policy, but also ethical, cultural, and faith-based perspectives.

There is a small fee for this event. Refreshments will be provided.

Bookings are handled by The Faith & Belief Forum.

This event is intended to support youth activism. Participants will normally be aged between 18 and 35. No under-18s.

Date:
Sunday, 19 January, 2025 - 13:30 to 17:30
Event location:
Michaelhouse, Trinity Street, Cambridge, CB2 1SU
