Cambridge Interfaith Programme

Since 2002, CIP has organized a number of international academic conferences under the title of “Scriptural Reasoning in the University” (SRU). These conferences have focused on academic collaboration between scholars of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, and have used the practice of Scriptural Reasoning as a springboard to knowledge exchange and critical reflection.

CIP’s current Scripture and Violence project began with SRU conferences in 2016 and 2017.

Many academic publications about the practice of Scriptural Reasoning and related topics have also been inspired and shaped through these conferences.
