Exploring a synthesis of Charles Taylor and Tomás Halík on religious difference
About the speaker
Aden Cotterill is a PhD student in Christian theology, based in the Faculty of Divinity at the University of Cambridge. His thesis is provisionally entitled “The nova effect: a theological diptych of Charles Taylor and Tomas Halik”. Through the life and work of these two theologians, Aden explores a theological response to how pluralism in modernity shapes our experience of belief and doubt.
This will be Aden’s first paper since convening Tomás Halík: a Cambridge conference in December 2024—both Taylor and Halík delivered keynotes.
It is possible to join this event via livestream if wished.
