Divinity Divulged, a brand new Faculty of Divinity podcast series, was launched this month. Each episode zeroes in on a research project or output through conversations with researchers and an expert guest.
Episodes will be released fortnightly in Michaelmas and Lent terms. The opening episode features Professor Esra Özyürek and Professor Daniel Weiss in conversation, on the topic of Holocaust memory and Islam in contemporary Germany. The series is hosted by Dr Joseph Powell, a member of Cambridge Interfaith Research Forum.
Dr Powell said: “Divinity Divulged looks to shine a light on the raft of fascinating research that goes on in the Faculty and give a new outlet to what otherwise might be confined to books or journal articles. Each episodes dives into one of these research projects through a conversation with the researcher, alongside an expert guest to further tease out what it all means.”
He added: “This series will be exploring themes and locations as broad and varied as the impact of Covid-19 on Evangelical evangelism in Bradford and Middle Ages metaphysics and science in the Abrahamic faiths, so do get yourselves along for the ride!”
