About
Most Christians today do not want to be anti-Jewish, but some still accidentally make anti-Jewish remarks from time to time, especially when talking about the Bible. In most cases, the people concerned have no negative intent and are unaware that there might be anything problematic about their words.
This interactive session will explore the phenomenon of accidental anti-Judaism in Christian contexts, what it looks like, and what some contributing factors might be.
Relevant aspects of recent New Testament scholarship will also be introduced. The session draws on the session leaders' experience teaching about the New Testament to future clergy and being actively involved in a variety of church settings.
This session is part of an Alumni Festival series organised by the Cambridge Interfaith Knowledge Hub.
Capacity is limited. Advance booking essential.
