Dr Iona Hine and Dr Anastasia Badder are among the keynotes at this year’s RExChange, an online conference for those involved in Religious Education.

The conference runs across two days (Friday 18 & Saturday 19 October), with the schedule designed to enable participation from teachers and researchers.

Keynotes and CIP contributions

Dr Badder and Dr Hine will be discussing water and religious texts in the opening panel on Friday. They’ll be joined by Chine McDonald (director of the Theos Think Tank) and Dr Jasjit Singh (University of Leeds). The theme is Researching Worldview Communities.

Dr Badder  is also contributing to discussion in the first seminar session, joining Stacey Burman, Amy Ark, and Carrie Alderton to discuss parental engagement in R.E.. This session represents outworkings of a partnership between CIP and the Faith & Belief Forum, exploring how material objects (religious artefacts, for example) can be relevant for R.E. teachers in Key Stages 2 & 3.

The Saturday schedule includes a second keynote panel, focused on artificial intelligence and its relevance to the religion and worldviews classroom.
