A student conference on decolonising education
How do we challenge the dominance of Western epistemologies in education? What does it mean to decolonise knowledge, and how can we make space for ways of knowing that have long been marginalised?
The Whose Knowledge Is It? conference invites students, educators, researchers, and community organisers to engage critically with questions of decolonising education, epistemic justice, and knowledge production. Through panels, collaborative sessions, and open dialogue, we aim to explore how power operates in and beyond the academy, and how we might collectively reimagine more equitable and plural forms of knowing.
Hosted by students at the Faculty of Education, University of Cambridge, and members of the Cambridge Interfaith Programme, this one-day event will create space for reflection, resistance, and rethinking how knowledge is defined, shared, and valued.
