CIP Welcomes New Scriptural Reasoning Co-ordinator

last modified Oct 01, 2014 03:47 PM
CIP welcomed new Scriptural Reasoning Co-ordinator Nadiya Takolia in March 2014. Here she describes her first few months in the position...

“Beginning a new job in a new city is exciting and nerve-wracking at the same time, but I was warmly welcomed to the CIP team in March this year and got stuck into learning about Scriptural Reasoning and inter-faith more broadly. Four months have flown by and we’ve delivered Scriptural Reasoning to a wide range of groups, got online SR up and running via our platform, and designed a training programme for facilitating Scriptural Reasoning. One of the highlights of the past few months has been setting up a regular group in Cambridge. We have a busy summer planned with the CIP Summer School and several Scriptural Reasoning demonstrations planned for the Greenbelt Festival. Looking even further ahead to the autumn, we will be delivering Open Scriptural Reasoning Workshops at the Cambridge Alumni Festival and the Festival of Ideas. Our hope is that individuals and groups become equipped with the tools and skills they need to establish this powerful inter-faith practice in their own communities."
